Paint's Paint Painter

Use /function paint:ppp/help to get a book with this information

After you enable this datapack, dyes you craft, buy, or otherwise obtain will have a component that will let you dye blocks directly by using the dye on them.

The following blocks can be dyed:

* Concrete (& Stairs & Slabs)
* Concrete Powder
* Glass (not tinted)
* Glass Panes
* Terracotta
* Wool Carpets
* Wool (& Stairs & Slabs)

Splodging

If the dye can be used in a crafting table to dye 8 blocks at once, then by default, the dye will "splodge" and also dye nearby blocks, up to 8. You can turn this off.

To turn this off, use the command /function paint:ppp/help to give yourself a book, and one of the pages will have an option for you to turn it off.
Creative

Obtaining Dyes from the Creative Inventory will NOT give you the dyes with the needed item components.

Use /function paint:ppp/give_dyes

It will replace items in the your hotbar and the bottom row of your inventory.

Recipes, Loot Tables, and Trading

All vanilla places where you can obtain dyes have been overwritten so that they give dyes with the item components.
* Crafting recipes, like combining red dye and yellow dye to get orange dye.
* Smelting recipes, like smelting a sea pickle to get lime dye.
* Loot tables, like the trail ruins suspicious gravel and desert house chest.
* The Wandering Trader's trade table.
