About

PE2 is a datapack project that has been in the works for a little over a year now, with the goal to bring a more RPG feeling to Minecraft's leveling system. The main point being that you never lose your levels or xp, even after you die, use an anvil, enchant your items, etc.

Install

Installation of the pack is super simple.
  1. Grab the latest version of the datapack.
  2. Drag it into your datapacks folder in your world save folder.
  3. Open your world.

How to Use

The current version of the datapack has everything set up for you, all you need to now is go kill some mobs.

Uninstall

Uninstalling the pack is super easy.
type the following command into the chat.
/function pe2:uninstall(All the xp you collected while using the pack will be returned to you)

history
enchanting works the same way, just you won't need to go kill more things to get back to level 30 and enchant your level 3 weapons. It was a question I asked myself, and with the current xp system it works fine. In a future update, that system will be a lot more intuitive and easier to manipulate (since the current system uses a quadratic formula).

One of the things I'm working on right now is canceling the Minecraft default level system so that I have a lot more control over how a level is utilized and displayed.
