Certain food items give very short potion effects after consumed. This works as an alternative to regular potions lasting several minutes.

• Cookies always give 3 seconds of speed I and have a 30% chance to give speed II for 2 seconds instead
  
• Rabbit Stew always gives jump boost I for 5 seconds and has a 30% chance to make it jump boost II instead

• Sweet Berries have a 30% chance to give haste II for 10 seconds
• Pumpkin Pie has a 30% chance to give regeneration I for 5 seconds
• Any Cooked Fish has a 30% chance to give strength I for 5 seconds
• Any Raw Meat has a 50% chance to give hunger II for 15 seconds

• Glow Berries always make player glow for 3 seconds and have a 30% chance to also give night vision for 3 seconds
• Beetroot Soup always removes nausea and blindness
• Honey Bottle now also has a 30% chance to insta-heal 2 hearts

You can now enable or disable every feature individually by typing /function edibles:config or clicking the yellow message after loading this datapack.

I recommend using /function edibles:uninstall before deleting the datapack to remove any stored settings

This datapack aims to give every food item an unique gameplay mechanic that can be very useful in certain situations. These buffs and nerfs are meant to add a bit of realism to the game while also making every unpopular food more useful. It's not meant to be OP. It's just so that not only golden carrots are endgame food.

I want to create a series of datapacks that introduce new simple mechanics without disrupting the balance of the game. On first glance these changes may not look like much, but they are designed to enhance the vanilla survival experience with new fun ways to play. The datapack is very simple and shouldn't generate ANY lag! Hope you have fun!
