- What does it do? -
When an entity with explosive capabilities catches on fire, it will explode. This includes:
- Creepers that catch on fire will set off their fuse and blow up
- thrown TNT items will instantly explode
- thrown Gunpowder will pop in a small firework explosion and hurt players
- thrown Firework Stars will explode with their correct effects and hurt players
- thrown Fireworks will have their knots lit and fly a short distance before exploding too
- When a flying Firework catches on fire, it explodes instantly
- thrown End Crystal items will instantly explode
Entities mentioned above are affected by the following blocks:
- Lava - Makes any entity that falls into it explode instantly (Creepers explode slowly)
- Lava Cauldron - Same as regular Lava
- Campfire (and Soul Campfire) - WHEN LIT makes TNT, End Crystals, Gunpowder and Firework Stars explode instantly. Fireworks take off and fly a short distance. Creepers don't catch on fire, so they don't explode (but still get damaged).
- Fire (and Soul Fire) - Entities catch on fire, so they explode. Same as Lava.
- Torches (and Soul Torches) - Causes only Gunpowder and Firework Stars to explode if they get too near to the flame
- Candles (and Candles on cakes) - WHEN LIT cause only Gunpowder and Firework Stars to explode if they get too near to the flame
- Magma Blocks - cause only Gunpowder and Firework Stars to explode if they get too near and are touching air
- Burning Entities - cause only Gunpowder and Firework Stars to explode if they get too near
- Can make each other explode if one of them blows up near another
- Can set off TNTs if they explode on top of them
- About the datapack -
You can enable or disable every feature individually by typing /function explosives:config
I recommend using /function explosives:uninstall before deleting the datapack to remove any stored settings
I want to create a series of datapacks that introduce new simple mechanics without disrupting the balance of the game. On first glance these changes may not look like much, but they are designed to enhance the vanilla survival experience with new fun ways to play. The datapack is very simple and shouldn't generate any lag. Hope you have fun!
