ReNEWables

One of the odd things about minecraft is that sand, one of the most useful blocks for crafting isn't renewable (other than wandering trader rng). With that in mind, along with a few other blocks added in caves and cliffs only able to be found in world, I decided to make a nice compact datapack that remedies this issue.

Introducing ReNEWables! a total of 8 new recipes (3 new blasting recipes, one crafting, two campfire recipes?, and two in-world recipes) that expand on block crafting!

So to start: SAND the big one

sand is now renewable via an in world system. Falling pointed dripstone deals damage to mobs, so why not blocks?
If you let pointed dripstone fall onto cobblestone, the cobble will be converted into a sand block!

this also works with granite blocks to make renewable gravel! Concrete enjoyers rejoice!



Now for the regular, run of the mill crafting.

Tuff, Calcite, and Deepslate are weirdly nonrenewable, and only found underground. This felt odd to me, since the other stone types all have recipes with quartz in order to be renewable. So I made them recipes! By making Polished Andesite and cooking it in a Blast Furnace, you can create tuff! By blasting Polished Diorite you can make Calcite! And by blasting Dripstone blocks you can make Deepslate! Now you can enjoy your stone gradients without stressing about finding these blocks in world! (although that would probably be a lot easier)

Red sand, like Sand isn't renewable and is only found in rare mesa biomes :( this is sad. So I decided to fix that! By placing one sand and four clay balls in a crafting table you get TWO red sand! TNT is now even easier to obtain with a few simple farms!!

lastly, you have uh soul sand and soul soil... I don't want to know why you need a lot of these, but now! they're both renewable! by placing any sand block in a soul campfire you can create soul sand! And by placing any dirt block into a soul campfire you can get soul soil!
