A utility datapack for other Datapack creators! This is not for general use!
A different, or "less technical" approach to applying a custom set damage with a scoreboard. (To both mobs and players!)
The way this works is with.. arrows! with stored entity data stuff :)
Like all arrows, it takes in account the amount of armour someone has, resistances, or the Projectile Protection enchantment! For my use this works perfectly, but with one flaw that I should mention:
Players or mobs with a block right above their head would stop the arrow from hitting them.
So.. this isn't "perfect" perfect, but it's close enough and I'm pretty happy with it. :D
Tooltip:
Setting the damage Score to a negative number ("-1" or more.) would heal the player. (Or mob)
Spoiler
Hey, that one guy that happens to find this helpful for their stuff, give credit!
Or not... I can't do anything about it. :v I would think you're cool if you did! :)

Setting the "cd_set_dmg" scoreboard to a negative value would HEAL the player (Or mob) for the same amount as inputted into the Scoreboard.
