Introduction

Hello! This is my second data pack!



I brought a suggestion I read at many places to life. Stonecutters now deal damage to mobs and players! Use it for farms or whatever your heart desires.
How to Install
1. Download the datapack .zip file.

2. Copy it into your world's datapacks folder
How to use
- Stand on a stonecutter to torture yourself
- Make mobs stand on a stonecutter to torture them
- Use it to damage mobs in mob farms
- Place a hopper under it to collect the loot (no need for hopper minecarts like magma block does)
FAQ

Q: I found a bug, what shall I do?
A: Tell it to me in the comments, so I can fix it as soon as possible.

Q: I have feedback / ideas about the datapack, can I share them?
A: Absolutely. I welcome most feedbacks and ideas.

Q: How does this work?

A: I used a mixture of Resistance and Instand Damage (for non-undeads) / Instant Health (for undeads) effect to deal the damage that seemed right to me.

Q: Can I modify the damage?

A: Sure, just play around with the damage.mcfunction file and change the status effect's level.
How to Update

To update the data pack to a newer version, simply remove any older version from your datapack folder and place in the new downloaded .zip

Remove any previous versions!


If you were in the game while doing this, type /reload.

Data Pack is now functional in 1.6 with the release of v1.2.0. All the added / modified mobs (like Zoglin) is now working fine. Have fun!

If you mean why you don't get XP when a stonecutter kills an enemy it's because environmental kills don't give experience (Except for Pigmen when they are aggroed at you).

Working great on 1.14.3 SMP I only had to reduce the resistance effect so that it's more deadly

Hi, it does not seem to make Blaze drop any items. Do you have any idea why?

Hey!

Blaze only drop loot if the player kills them (that's how Minecraft works), so unfortunately this data pack won't help you with that :(
