Do you don't like the concept of Phantoms, like me? Then this pack is for you. It replaces the phantoms with a new mob called skeleton barrels and makes it harder to get phantom membrane.

The Skeleton Barrels

• Skeleton Barrels spawn under the same conditions as phantoms.
• If they spawn you will hear a loud sound.
• They will then sink slowly to the ground.
• Skeleton barrels are heavy and have spikes. If they hit you they will deal some damage and stun you briefly.

The Skeletons

If the barrel hit the ground it will summon 6 different skeletopns.

• 3 default skeletons with an iron helmet
• 2 Skeletons with golden helmet and bow with enchantment glint, Speed I and Invisibility. They drop an mega experience bottle which gives 100 XP upon consumption.
• 1 Skeleton leader with a diamond helmet, a bow enchanted with flame, Speed I and Strength I. It drops 5 phantom membrane, up to 7 with looting.

All skeletons don't despawn.

New villager house

In plains villages, you can find a new villager house.

• The balloons are only for decoration, the cannot obtained in any way.
• If you punch the two barrels on the outside, they will explode.
• Inside there are three barrels, one of them with loot which is shown in the last picture.
• There is an empty spawner next to the barrels inside. It don't do anything, but you can mine it for some xp.

Sanctions if skeletons are nearby

If skeleton barrel skeletons are within 40 blocks, there are some sanctions:

• If you try to sleep you will be forced out of the bed and take a half heart damage
• If you place a grindstone, you will instantly die

Brewing system tweaks

The data pack adds also some little brewing tweaks.

• Brewing Stands don't need blaze powder to work, like in 1.8 or before (Note: This has technical reasons)
  
• You can't brew Slow Falling potions. If you try to place phantom membranes in the brewing stand, they will be thrown out.
