    Sniffers have a small chance to dig any pottery sherds.

    I actually made this datapack for my own survival game because pottery sherds are actually not renewable and sniffers are not interesting in vanilla.

    How high (or rather low) of a chance there is to get a sherd? I've been running my sniffer farm for almost 6 hours by now with this datapack installed (I even entered /reload, for good measure), but no sherds so far. Now I'm not even sure if the datapack works or not.
    (For clearance, I have 4 sniffers in the farm, and in those 6 hours they've produced a stack each of both torchflower seeds and pitcher pods, so the farm itself is decently effective)

    (Edit) Alright, after another 9 hours of AFK right next to the farm and not getting any sherds whatsoever, I declare this datapack not working, sadly. At least on my part. Will have to try with some other one...

    Why is this not vanilla? This is such a simple solution to Sniffers doing nothing

    Not necessarily "can't" - they absolutely can, which is proved in the April fools Vote snapshot. They just blatantly refuse to do it, out of their own pettiness.

    so they can't add slabs that are rotated 90 degree, but they have so much potential at making an entire update with pointless features that only lasts for one day..
