Souls

[NOTICE] If you are having trouble using the datapack this is because I compressed the base folder for the datapack instead of the stuff inside it. in order to fix this extract the base folder from the zip file so that when you click into it you see the pack.mcmeta file and the data folder

Souls is a datapack which allows you to collect the souls of mobs and turn them into spawn eggs.

In order to get started you'll need a soul dagger, in order to craft a soul dagger just drop a wooden sword, a diamond block, and an emerald block. These ingredients with instantly transform into a soul dagger. When you kill a mob with the soul dagger the the first slot in your hotbar it will give you a soul fragment for that mob. (Note, this was not programmed to work with all mobs, like Wandering Traders, as allowing players to use spawn eggs and spawners to jack with their spawnrates could be undesriable)

In order to turn these fragments into a spawn egg, drop four of the same type on the ground with an egg, it will transform into the spawn egg corresponding the the soul fragments you used.



You can also craft spawners by dropping four iron bars with a nether star.
