So, before I pay for it I would like to know if it would

work in a preexisting realm (I know data packs do)

and is that a beacon?

I dont know about realm(because i doesnt play minecraft, i only create and test my work), but if realm is similar to java version - yes.

And yes, its a beacon

Since beacons are so expensive, would it be possible to change that to a diamond block if i went into the files ?

Beacon not used in commands, so you can change this block to any you want. But remember, all buildings have 2 types of set up:



- place
- check for integrity

If you are good in commands, just rewrite
