Sometimes you want to save your item's enchantment ? Now you can if you take this datapack.
Take the item you want to disenchant in your offhand, throw a book on a lectern, and if you have 1 level you will receive an enchanted book and your item back.

PS: Tell me if there is some bug and I will correct them

I downloaded this on my realm one 1.16.4 and it just doesnt work
Im holding an enchanted fishing rod in my offhand and a normal book in my normal one
Idk if its just the fishing rod or the datapack
I dont think i have any other datapacks on that conflict with it so idk

Sadly, doesn't seem to work in 16.3. Tried everything I can think of and can't make it work.

Wont work, I've tried all versions 1.16+
Data pack and resource packs are in the right places, comes up it chat correct when typing /reload but nothing happens when I try to use it.

If i try to disenchant multiple enchants from a thing it just gives me an enchanted book with no enchants. It would be really nice if you would fix it. Thanks!

Hello, currently I have a 1.16.1 server and love the concept of the datapack. Although for some reason, this datapack is not working as intended. When I loaded the datapack on the server, it gives me a notification on the console saying:

[ERROR] Couldn't load item tag disenchantment:enchantable_items as it is missing following references: minecraft:gold_shovel (from disenchantment_1_0_2.zip),minecraft:gold_axe (from disenchantment_1_0_2.zip),minecraft:gold_pickaxe (from disenchantment_1_0_2.zip),minecraft:gold_hoe (from disenchantment_1_0_2.zip),minecraft:gold_sword (from disenchantment_1_0_2.zip),minecraft:gold_helmet (from disenchantment_1_0_2.zip),minecraft:gold_chestplate (from disenchantment_1_0_2.zip),minecraft:gold_leggings (from disenchantment_1_0_2.zip),minecraft:gold_boots (from disenchantment_1_0_2.zip)



I also want to include that I tried having a leather enchanted helmet with low durability in my offhand while dropping the book on the lectern and nothing happens. Perhaps I installed it wrong? Since it could not detect the pack file, I removed the extra folder layer so then it can detect the mcpack file. That then resulted the error mentioned above about the golden equipment.

Hopefully there is a fix for this datapack as I think this is a wonderful concept.

It's a little bit late but I'll answer you, the problem comes from a useless file in the datapack ^^ but it should not cause any problem. If you have a modded version on your server or spigot (I know this one changes Minecraft IDs), the problem comes from here, but I'll remove the file and release another version.
