About Datapack / mod


Stone Tweaks is a datapack / mod that modifies and adds a lot of recipes that involve stone. Its goal is to make stone blocks more universal and also to make crafting some walls, slabs, and stairs easier. Stone is stone, so this project lets you craft items using any stone you like.

Recipes


This project modifies and adds a lot of recipes.

Some of them let you easily craft mossy variants of cobblestone and stone brick walls, stairs, and slabs.

Others let you remove moss from stone or smelt blocks like slabs and stairs.

A lot of recipes have been modified so they can be crafted with all unprocessed stone blocks. Some of them include stone tools, redstone components, brewing stands, and more.

Future project support and backporting


This datapack / mod will be updated once every full release of Minecraft as soon as possible. I do not plan on backporting this project.

Compatibility with other mods or plugins


If you know a mod or plugin that adds new types of stones that would fit that datapack, let me know on Discord and I will publish an add-on.

P.S. After a full release I will be working on a documentation where you will be able to look through all the recipes and other content added by the mod. That will explain how it works in a very clear way. It's in my queue tho as I need to make documentation for my other projects first.

It allows you to craft some things with more variants of stone like for example observers, pistons, furnaces etc. When you have a silk touch on your pickaxe you don't have to bother with cobblestone anymore for crafting as you can craft all those thing with normal stone when you're using this datapack. It also introduces some QoL tweaks like a way to remove moss from stone by burning it off in the furnace (new as of b.1.0 that is available on Modrinth) or smelt cobblestone slabs/stairs/walls into stone variants.
