Upgrade Tools and Armors is Datapack for 1.20.2+ that changes how to have golden/diamond sword/tools/armors.

(Older version : 1.20-1.20.1)

All crafts from the Crafting Table/Crafter/Inventory for the Iron/Golden/Diamond tools/armors (exept the iron before 1.21.9) are removed.

Now you have to :

upgrade Copper tools/armors with an Amethyst Shard in the place of the template and a Iron Ingot to have a Iron tool/armor.
upgrade Iron tools/armors with an Amethyst Shard in the place of the template and a Gold Ingot to have a Golden tool/armor.
upgrade Golden tools/armors with an Amethyst Shard in the place of the template and a Diamond to have a Diamond tool/armor.

To upgrade the Diamond tools/armors to the Netherite tools/armors it's the same as vanilla, you need a Netherite Upgrade Smithing Template and a Netherite Ingot.

You can craft the Leather armor and craft the Wooden and the Stone tools in a Crafting Table/Crafter, it's the same as vanilla, but you need to craft the Copper tools/armors (the Iron tools/armors before 1.21.9) in a Crafting Table/Crafter then after you can upgrade the Copper tools/armors (in 1.21.9 and after) into the Iron tools/armors, then to the Golden tools/armors and then to the Diamond tools/armors.

Problem solved :
  • The iron sword, tools and armor recipes are no longer removed for the versions before 1.21.11
