This is a rewrite of Warp Pads supporting Minecraft 1.17-1.19+. For 1.14-1.16, please use the previous version.

The most up-to-date version is 2.1.4, available through GitHub.


Warp Pads is a data pack for Minecraft: Java Edition enabling players to create and teleport between Warp Pads in the world. It is designed to be balanced for survival Minecraft, but beneficial for players in all game modes.

Warp Pads follows the Minecraft Datapacks Official Conventions and Style to ensure compatibility with other data packs. (Smithed compat soon?)

This version is tested compatible with **Minecraft 1.17.0-1.19.4**.

* Better icon logic in small spaces

You are likely using a poorly designed recipe unlocker data pack (looking at you, Vanilla Tweaks). These will break any datapack custom crafting recipes. You can try my alternative here: https://github.com/SmoochyPit/Recipe-Unlock. Be careful, as this version will unlock them then clear the inventory of the player the first time it is loaded for that player, so if it's an existing world, make sure you don't have items in your inventory.

Is there a way to change the recipe of the warp pads? I've tried several times through the config files however changing the block type under Warppad>Recipes makes it so the entire data pack doesn't work anymore. Is there a fix to this?

Sorry for the late reply. The crafting recipes have to be changed manually, but the config file should update any other occurrences. If you have existing pads in a world, changing the base block will likely cause them to break. If you still want to change them and it's giving you errors, I'd be happy to help on discord-- @SmoochyPit#8036

SmoochyPit Could you make a better explained tutorial on gold and diamond teleports and on the use of redstone?

Each tier can warp longer distances, with the diamond one having no limit. As for redstone, think of it like changing the frequency on a radio-- only those on the same frequency can reach one another.

The return on investment for my time with both these projects as well as videos on them is pretty hard, so I'm not sure I have it in me to make a video on it.

Is there a maximum amount of teleports we can have?? I have a realms w/ it and less than 10, but suddenly now a few of them aren't able to be teleported to for some reason

Sorry for a late reply-- There is not a maximum amount, so that sounds like unintended behavior. Make sure the warp pads are within range for the appropriate tier. Lmk if you still have issues.

Fantastic datapack. My friends and I have been using this for the past week on our realm and have been having a blast.

One small bug/issue: It appears something has locked my player out of using the warp pads. They permanently display the message "You have warped too fast! Please wait 1 seconds." and do not display the other warps. I tried reloading the datapack and destroying/redeploying the warp pads.

Is there something I can do to fix this issue?
