DISCLAIMER: This datapack, though somewhat incomplete, has a fair amount to offer to your game worlds now.
This datapack is meant for vanilla survival worlds in 1.18.2 and is intended to be run with the Cloud Tops resource pack found here.
The pack currently makes the following changes:
Items:
+Several custom items including potions and unbreakable tools that may be purchased for Rupees or found in various treasure chests.
+Permanent Roc's Cape that never goes away, locking your chest plate slot and enabling gliding.
+Customized loot items acting as Hearts and Rupees can be found in pre-generated chests or dropped from hostile monsters and grass.
*Firework Stars will detonate when left on the ground for three seconds, causing a sizable chunk of damage and instantly deleting any and all cracked bricks in a small area around the blast zone.
-other entities repeatedly executing the Bombs function will share a similar fate...
New Mechanics:
*You now start with 3 Hearts when starting fresh in a world, but by gaining levels you can eventually reach a maximum of 20 Hearts. New hearts are currently gained every time you reach Level 20, and you are set back 20 Levels each time you gain a new heart by this method.
Worldgen Changes:
+Adds a new Sky world which is accessed by simply reaching elevation 300 in the Overworld. You may return to the Overworld by simply dropping back down out of the Sky, horizontal coordinates are preserved both ways.
+Adds Two new biomes exclusive to the Cloud Tops dimension... or your single-biome world if you want the whole land to be littered with giant temples and pirate ships.
+Adds several custom structures to both the Overworld and the Sky world, which include shops, dungeons, and other interesting locations to spice up the game world.
Download Instructions:
1. Copy or Cut the data pack out of the .zip folder and paste it either into the temporary folder Minecraft creates for you during world creation or into Datapacks in the world save folder under .minecraft
2. The pack should take effect immediately once installed, though if the world is already loaded, simply use the /reload command or exit the world and come back in.
3. In later installments, I plan to have gamerule customization options made available on world load - just vanilla gamerule things like fire tick, keep inventory, and mobgriefing - but beyond that, enjoy.

During periods of heavy development or generally when the datapack has recently received updates, please be sure to come back in several hours or a day to check for a B-version release.
I do have a tendency to get a little over excited and post versions I think are complete only to find later that one little thing about something I changed decided it didn't want to work.

There are certainly elements from other Zelda games (notably Ocarina of Time), but the Hero of Clouds is more or less another Toon Link.
I've had to put Cloud Tops on the back-burner for a bit ever since 1.17 released. It's not because 1.17 released since I'd actually started on updating the pack for 1.17 compatibility a day or two before Minecraft updated, but rather I've been pretty hard-dedicated to a new project that I strongly desire to finish before mid-October and ideally release in early October to hit prime Halloween season.
I'm keeping this new project a little secret for now, but I'm doing everything I can to make as awesome an experience as I can with it...
This project is being made in Minecraft 1.17 and is designed for a fairly large number of players, though it may suggest/contain some mature themes and the world in general is pretty dark and twisted, at least in terms of lore...
So about Cloud Tops...
I think actually having taken a bit of a break to get my feet back on the ground for a bit was much needed, and though I'm not gonna be able to pump out a new update every week, I do at least want to get the compatibility update out within a few days. This update will change up a few things - mostly how the data pack itself operates behind the scenes - though there will also be some quality of life improvements and a few other changes to gameplay.
Hearts will be separated from your Roc's Cape and your Roc's Cape will no longer be permanently bound to your back (although I might reverse the second part if it feels too wonky, idk).
Heart Count will instead use the Attribute command to change your base HP capacity directly, which probably means you won't log back into your world with only 10 hearts filled if you had more than 10 logging out/exiting.
Clouds in the Cloud Tops dimension will be powdered snow instead of regular snow blocks. This change will vastly alter the how players explore the Cloud Tops dimension, making it significantly safe to navigate at high speeds, but significantly more dangerous to linger outside of a solid structure.
This also means you will very likely want to wear Wind Boots to both be able to swim through and stand on the clouds to better navigate the sky and to avoid freezing while inside of clouds.
Going further, this will allow you to potentially find any structures that are partially buried within the clouds - namely pirate ships - much more easily, and Giant Gyorgs will no longer be able to spawn suffocating part-way in a cloud but just fly through instead.
The Fire Rod in particular I want to make spew a jet of flames in the direction you're facing. This I'll have trigger from sneaking with Fire Rod in main hand, slowly burns Light Force. Jet size and burn time will depend on the rod's level.
The Cane of Pacci I think would be cool to make be able to perhaps launch a projectile of limited range that launches what ever it hits high into the air, range and power dependent on the cane's level. This will probably utilize the Spell trigger command that the medallions also use.
*Make Grotto holes a thing maybe.
*Add Fairy Fountains for upgrading basic equipment.
*Add Kinstone fusions that do things.
*Finish building that wizard tower thing for the Cloud Tops
*More Dungeons
*More Items for progression balancing.
