Everyone loves building minecart rail systems, but giant mono-rails across your world can get to be an eyesore. With this modular datapack, enable your minecarts to hang from "ziprails" made of tripwire, much less intrusive than regular rail lines.

-All minecart types can grab onto a "ziprail" by riding under the tripwire hook at one end.
-Minecarts will travel down a ziprail until it reaches the other end, much like a gondola or cable-car
-Adds a custom advancement for your first ride in the sky

You can see a video showcasing this module and it's features here: youtu.be/QA7a5q2kVcg

Simply drag the .zip file into the datapacks folder of your world, reload the world, and enjoy!

Yep! The download link here actually takes you to that page.

We just have so many datapacks that manually updating all the PlanetMinecraft pages takes days, so the version number listed here is just out of date. Sorry!

Hi! Sorry about the confusion with the datapack. Once installed, it allows minecarts to hang from tripwire hooks like a zipline or cable-car. This image shows how to hook the minecart onto the tripwire line.(Image from our wiki https://wiki.gm4.co/wiki/Ziprails)

    Hope this helps!

Really good idea! Unfortunately, the clipping of the head through the block due to the implementation is a little bit of a let down. Could it be possible to change the distance from the cart to the hook to 2 blocks instead of 1? This would be a good fix and would also make builds prettier.

Yes! The only difference is that you won't be able to run the /reload command to install new modules. You will have to exit and re-enter your world for that.

Is there a way to mod the tripwires so the string can be more than 40 blocks long? Would be cool to have massive ziprails

Unfortunately, the module uses the vanilla limit for tripwire length to make sure that the tripwire has both ends connected. There's nothing stopping you from building "repeater" towers every 40 blocks that take you off one tripwire and put you on another.
