Is this project good or weak?

I don't like the big dirt thing behind the house

Needs more depth in the walls, they're very flat

It's way too simple. You need to work on Detail

Honestly, it's really plain. It lacks depth, randomization, and complexity. I'd add some hidden lights. For example using jungle leaves on top of glowstone hides the ugly glowstone texture, while making giving off light and provides a nice bush like structure. Emboss the walls a bit more, too, maybe replace some blocks with stairs and extend or push in some of the walls. Highlight the windows more with darker planks as shutters, or use doors or trap doors as shutters. as far as the roof goes, maybe add in like a chimney, or another window peeking over the top. another thing you could do is add a waterfall or some interesting terrain in the background using MCedit or worldedit. There are many tutorials on youtube. Remember: Realistic is not very interesting,and that's why server builders build medieval or steampunk style. There are lots of youtube videos about adding depth and texture to builds, go check em' out. I'm not trying to be critical, just giving some tips to help you improve.

thx for the advise, im currently putting more into the build, trying for less of a village insert and more of a small town. Maybe widen out the bottom and put some locks or boats in there too

Ty for the feedback I will swap out some of the square houses and put in more curves. I deffo need to work on more detail with it, like some of my other projects and curvy roofs! I will put in more lamps. I used sues to render the pictures. Nexxo ty for your input but when a person jumps a a post agrees others in 4 words and puts Also why do you blah blah like i am using his computer memory to store the forum or a person like you that puts absolutely nothing pertaining to the post at hand, which easily could have easily been pm to me to for your Dr Phil moment lol. Nice! But simple.. As someone said the torches don't look the best.

I think it's good, I like these builds, I think it needs a little bit more detail. Keep building!

Get rid of some of the torches on the sidewalks Put redstone lamps or piston lights

I think you should practice on curvy roof designs and more detail

Ty for the feedback i will add in more detail, and jackel I ask because I want to know what other people think. I build things for peoples enjoyment and use, maybe you should put more then one build that looks like a crack den before asking me why im inquiring about the quality of my builds. If you dont like it scroll on bud, for everyone else ty for the advise

It does look simple, but simple is sometimes nice. Use your own style, not what other people demand of you :p

Yeah, its rather simple. Also, why do you keep making posts asking about your builds?

It depends on who the person reviewing it is. Inexperienced would say Awesome! Best build ever whereas professional builders would say it's not the best of builds.
