Is there a 1:1 scale of a USA map? I was just wondering, because if there is, then good because I wanna use one. So far I have not had any luck finding one, so I've had my doubts, but oh well.

Well that's kinda why I wanted a map of the US like that.

I wish a server had this map. It would be so cool to make clans and control territories with your clan and have wars and stuff.

You guys are complaining about a 3.5gb map?

6.8GB download and 22gb when unzipped... i think that a 3gb world has nothing on it :/

A 1:1 map will never happen, no matter the server or computer that is holding it. It would be 1000s of GB big. 1:1 is massive, think about it, Ireland is 500KM north-south that is over 500,000 minecraft blocks in a straight line and then factor in the width which is around 200KM east to west, so you have 500,000 x 200,000 that is massive! It would take forever to fly from one end to another and that is just Ireland, now imagine the USA...
I'd say just look for something like Lentslent's Earth map, the map that always comes up when you search for Earth Minecraft on PMC because anything bigger than his is really unnecessary. By the way, if you won't download a 3GB minecraft map but want a 1:1 you are just taking the piss.

True
Never will happen. Maybe a team of builders might remake Rhode island (Since its small) but still Rhode island would take years to rebuild. and the file would be like over 100 GB.

Think logically, a 1:1 scale of a USA Map, without houses, would take around 5 Years to build. A 1:1 scale of a USA Map, with houses, would take over 100s (Unless a huge a** build team spent there whole time on it) of years, cause every house would be over a thousand blocks.
It might happen one day, but I have my doubts it will.

*Looks at the map*
Cool! I can probably find my own house!
*Clicks the Download*
... 3,5 GB... for one map ...

Hm, that looks like a great- nvm 3.5 Gb's heck no.
Just went on the Minecraft Wiki: "If someone made a 1:1 (1 block = 1 meter) scale version of the Earth, its area would be 510,900,000,000,000 blocks. Assuming the map is only one block deep and takes 1 byte/block, we get approximately 475,800 GB, or 464.7 TB. A Moon-sized map would be made of 37,950,000,000,000 blocks and would take 35,340 GB, or 34.52 TB." Well then.
Well, I'm going to keep looking,

There is a 1:1 recreation of the entire world going on, but I'm not sure where, by whom, how far it has come or whether they've arrived at the USA yet.
