How do I upload my texture pack
1.-get winrar/winzip/7zip
2.-go to .minecraft (type "%appdata%" without the quotes in the directory bar)
3.-go to bin
4.-search for "minecraft" (w/out quotes) inside bin
5.-open with winrar/winzip/7zip
6.-make a new folder in desktop
7*.-copy:Achievement,armour,art,environment,font,gui,item,misc,mob,textures, title,pack.png,pack.txt,particles.png
8.-paste them in new folder
9.-edit them with GIMP or PAINT.NET or photoshop (can't be with Microsoft paint, cuz it doesn't supports transparency)
10.-that's it!
*just copy the ones you want, but if you want a complete tp copy all that I listed in step 7
Also:for the mobs I recommend MCskin3D made by paril (search it in pmc) is a very good program

MCEdit does nothing about textures .__.
To make a texturepack, open the minecraft.jar with winRAR or 7ZIP, then edit all the textres with a program like Gimp, Paint.NET, or PhotoShop. Do not use MS Paint, because if you do, items will have a white backround, and any terrain blocks that have a texture that's not a full square.
After you're done, put all the edited textures in a .ZIP archive. Some textures need to go in folders, such as mobs need to go in the mob folder. (pig.png, cow.png, etc.)
Then you can drop the archive into the texturepacks folder.

No wonder why you're having trouble making a texture pack.

If you dont want to buy anything use paint.net! Its the most amazing program ever!
Take the default from %appdata%/.minecraft
And then edit in Photoshop or Gimp.
