Texture Pack Help

So recently, I've decided to combine a few texture packs. All the blocks are working, including the GUI and everything, BUT the title (mojang.png) refuses to work. I edited a 512x512 png picture but it refuses to show up. When loading Minecraft, I'll get the regular loading screen, as in the original Minecraft Mojang picture. Splashes also seem to not be working. Can anyone help?

Nevermind! Problem fixed! It seems that you need Optifine or McPatcher in order to have a custom mojang screen!

The latest versions of Minecraft have ditched a custom Mojang title screen. It's hard-coded for their default. (legal things...) So if you load the texture pack in an older version of MC, it will work for you. But otherwise, these days, it's redundant.

I have also had issues with splashes. Turns out it's something to do with the encoding method. I messed around until I got it but if I were you, try saving in different encoding formats. I can't remember exactly how I solved it...

It's possible that the size may be too big, but I'm not sure as I don't really mess with titles/all that stuff.
Best of luck to you

Yeah, it's under \assets\minecraft\textures\gui\title. It's a 512x512 mojang.png file and the size is 228165 bytes (not sure if that could be a problem).

Is the name still mojang.png?
That's all I can think of, other than it being in the wrong file location.
