Hi,
I have a problem with my Windows 8 laptop. It keeps crashing whenever I plug in my mouse. Does anyone know why this is happening?

The hard to read text says KERNAL_SECURITY_CHECK _FAILURE
I believe that's what it says.

How do we know this mouse isn't teaching us a lesson?
Maybe we all should stop spending so much time on the internet.
Just kidding, but what Azie said is probably the best answer.

What azie said. Since widows 8 is still pretty new, the usb mouse drivers may not be compatible, therfore causing the computer to basically crash. Check the mouses manufacturer website and they will likely have driver downloads. They will also likely have a "supports windows XXX, etc." and you can see if it supports windows 8 yet. otherwise, its not that bad of an excuse to buy a new better mouse

That video is zero help, by the way, so I'm not sure why you went out of your way to get that. "Blue screen of death" would have sufficed.

As for the error, it sounds like maybe the driver that comes with your mouse doesn't like your laptop/Windows 8. You'd really need to get a hold of the full crash log/minidump file for someone to really tell you what the problem is though.

Ok, thats a start.
1.Did you download any software to get the usb mouse to work?
2. Do you have the parallels program?

Its a usb mouse. Its a 2.4Ghz mouse, but its newer and my computer has a maximum Ghz of 2.50 and no other usb device crashes my computer. Also, my computer is a laptop and its newer and so is the mouse. The mouse is only like 1-2 months old.
