1.9 becuase it FINALLY fixed all those pvp bugs that plagued servers for years.... and then every server proceeded to not update and continue to allow 1.8 players :/

1.19 the mangroves make it easy to build a base and no one will see it

Personally I will never play any version past 1.19... which really sucks because ofc NOW theyre finally adding all the amazing commands and quality of life features that should've been in the game already...

1.16. New atmospheric, and at the same time fit into the concept of the Nether biome. It has become much more interesting, at the same time dangerous and difficult to pass. I will never forget the experience of trying to navigate the nether on a single anarchy server to get to a safe distance where the base can't be found, and the experience of exploring the nether in a solo world.

im gonna have to go with 1.8.9
not for the combat, but for the place it has in my heart. all the old youtubers i used to watch when i was younger played either around that version or in that verson. and, plus, it added plenty of new things. and yes, i know. granite, diorite, and andesite were added that update, but their polished variants are great when building! there were banners, which allowed you to customize your world even further, and there was also a few mobs added aswell. also, slime block. plus, it was the version i started minecraft with. (when i played on an xbox 360 w/ my cousin)

1.6, the horse update. Nothing to do with what was actually added in the update nor was it the first version i played (beta 1.7) I just feel very nostalgic for it as it's the update when i really got into playing minecraft a lot with mods and redstone stuff

let’s set the scene here: you are a noob at minecraft (but you don’t want to be, you just want to get better at minecraft). you just made a new ocean only world to see the oceans.
you have set it to normal/hard difficulty (since here you are a noob wanting to be better).
when you spawn in, you are immediately killed by a drowned with a trident.

The boats with chest part is irrelevant but the drowned part is fair enough.

1.18 I think it transformed the game invited the warden to come into the game next update, and really was an amazing update. (Also added the glow squid and axolotls.

1. nobody wanted the glow squid. everybody was looking forward to having the moobloom and iceologer in game. only a few people actually wanted the glow squid.

3. the warden was meant to be in the 1.18 update but he got pushed back to 1.19. lots of people were expecting the warden that update and frustrated at the fact the warden hadn’t been introduced yet.

I did NOT want the icologer, and was okay with either of the other two. And in retrospect I'm glad the glow squid won becuase I cannot possibly imagine any universe where the moobloom is more useful than it.
As for the warden, I'm okay with the fact it didn't come in 1.18 becuase if they had done that it would have been rushed so I'm glad they took the extra time to refine the idea, which led to ancient cities!!
and while I do admit the older caves were easier to traverse, light up, and loot, easier is not always better. The new caves are far more interesting, harder to easily loot, adventurous, and better overall.
As for the warden, I'm okay with the fact it didn't come in 1.18 becuase if they had done that it would have been rushed so I'm glad they took the extra time to refine the idea, which led to ancient cities!!

If they hadnt it would have felt rushed. Delaying the warden gave them time to refine the idea more which led to ancient cities!

1.12- some guys/girls like the classic red beds more (even mumbo jumbo himself likes the classic red bed). also what use are parrots to the game? are they meant to be for atmospherical purposes? or meant to actually be useful? if so, what are they useful for?
1.13- drowneds are f*cking annoying
1.14- why are there still no jungle and swamp biomes yet mojang?
1.15- bees will sting you and you will lose your hardcore world forever…
1.16- ‘literal hell’ is definitely what i think when I go to the nether. and it should stay that way. because piglin brutes are hella strong
