I often just eat whatever my parents make for me, because the fridge is so sticky and there's stains big enough that I don't want to touch but small enough that my parents don't notice.
It doesn't help that when I touch unclean stuff it instantly makes me not hungry.
My dad says I hate mom whenever i ask her to make food but sometimes i'm too mentally exhausted to get past the fridge.

I wish I could live somewhere where I could clean and have my own fridge
Id also love to learn how to cook :3

I feel this urge to do something with my life
Every day I play like hours of minecraft and after that I still have absolutely nothing to do but waste time.
I don't know how to get the resources I need to learn what I need to do.
And I don't have the capacity to do anything that gets me closer to succeeding in life.
      Every, single, day.

I can't even find internet politics to flex my argumentative muscles on anymore, to even pretend i'm doing something that might change a single person's mind.

Does anyone know where i could find a map of the average carbon footprint in america of people in cities vs suburbs and the sources of the footprint

something like a pie chart might be nice

its not urgent but its kinda important

No I don't. (Too long away from a campus to be able to be current as well as that never having been explicitly my field.)

You might see if you can get the syllabus for one or more introductory courses from a local college / community college.
[If you go this route, try to select courses that focus on the hard science (typically lots of math) rather than the 'social justice warrior' training stuff.]

      interesting
stupid question but do you know any crash courses about environmental science
i spend literally 3 hours a day sitting doing nothing on my computer at the end of the day, every day :|

Back when I was getting degreed, conservation of energy was something one just picked up in one's other classes. [Largely thermodynamics (the study of the movement of heat) which science was founded by Scots distillers who were interested in minimizing the cost of the fuel needed to distill whisky .]

Similarly electromagnatism (which was largely 2nd year physics IIRC) covers the rules [as set by the Universe] that govern generating, transporting, and using electricity.

One very important factor that is often overlooked is that there are always trade-offs: the single family detached housing common in the 'burbs creates lower population density and – thus – larger towns (and makes individual vehicles the more attractive option ), but that same lower population density allows for greater natural bioremediation of the CO2.
[Bioremiation is a 'fancy' term for using the natural processes of plants and animals {bio-} to fix {remediate} the waste {CO2} by converting it into non-harmful forms {plant material – like trees – in this case. (What counts as harmful and how harmful it is largely being determined by chemistry/biochemistry)]

Dealing with these sorts of trade-offs tends to be covered by economics, which is not actually confined to the study if money choices. The best definition of economics I've ever come across states that it is: "The study of how people apply limited resources to unlimited wants.

One of the great dificulties in trying to become educated about many matters (energy conservation being only one example) is that the subjects have become politicized…
and all too many authors are grinding personal axes or more interested in keeping their own bread buttered than engaging in 'free and open inquiry'.

As to the link I sent, PNAS is the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences so it is to be expected that one needs to wade through the specialized vocabulary for any paper outside one's own specialty.

Man, you know a lot about this.

Have you taken any online classes (videos or just lessons) about the conservation of energy?

I want to learn more about it.

I've been told that people who live outside of a city have way larger carbon footprint because of their overuseage of cars, but I wonder what that data says without transportation, as its really the only thing I hear people talk about when comparing the two.

Thank you for the site, but oh dear im even dumber than I thought cuz they use quite a few words that are too smart for me 💀

I'd be surprised if you can find anything like that that is reputable.
see The carbon footprint of household energy use in the United States for some of the reasons.
[TL:DR version: there are a large number of variables (many of them poorly defined) taht make that kind of number effectively meaningless.
To take a 'simple' example: car use is typically higher for suburbanites, but the energy cost of public transit is generally groosly under counted because few studies factor in the costs of 'empty buses' (which run wether or not there are passengers), much less amortize the enormous environmental costs of constructing infrastructure like subways.]

i knelt down to get my backpack from the floor as the period just ended and some kid jumped between me and my backpack over my seat and kicked my hair

This kid literally goes to the bathroom every period now the yucky stuff covering the floor is on my hair for the next 6 periods until I shower

He doesn't understand personal space and sometimes just walks into me for no reason
