Hi there,
I was earlier thinking about one of the operations I have had in my life time and was interested to hear other people stories. Please post below, what operation you had, and the story that goes with it.
My biggest operation was: In December 2009 (Yes I was in on Christmas Day, to have the Wiggles sing to me) I had a brain tumour removed.
I had a seizure at school and fell and knocked my head. Long story short: After many scans and whatnot they found something odd, a few weeks later after many weeks, I was picked up from school, on my way for an appointment with my surgeon to be told I had a brain tumour. I broke my ankle in the fall, and I must say I am probably only one of the people in the world who are happy they broke their ankle. It was a very scary story with lots more to go with it, but I don't feel comfortable sharing the whole story, and this would be 5000 words long.

Not particularly physical as the other ones here, but I've had a couple blood transfusions and a bone-marrow transplant. Suppose chemo isn't really a surgery, but that too.
I've gotten two. Both, operations in my head. Both of them was when I was young but it doesn't really matter.
1. I was running for whatever reason. There was broken glass in the ground due to a jar breaking. Anyways, I ran, slipped, and landed head first on the shattered glass. Heh, had to wear some kind of head bandage and get stitches.
2. Again, I was young here. I was jumping on the bed and I imagined I was a basketball player... so I jumped like a player throwing the ball and scoring. But then when I felt that I was falling in mid air, I remember that it was an imagination and there was no net... so, I fell head first in the ground again, and had to get stitches on my head.. again.

Does having teeth pulled out count? Because I have had a 'dead tooth' removed, now my mouth is stuffed T_T. Otherwise, none.
MGB_TheViridianMGB_I had my left eye removed at the age of three, thanks to a rare kind of cancerous tumor of the retina called Retinoblastoma.
Hence the patch on my avatar.
Do you wear an eyepatch, in real life?
Very, very rarely.
It's more so there to allude to the fact that I don't have an eye on the left.
Glass eye?
I was in a huge car accident, a construction vehicle fell on our car and our car fell down the hill. I got a huge bleeding cut on my forehead, and had major cuts on my middle and ring finger. My ring finger got stiches, and my middle finger got stiches as well. It turned out that my middle finger got its nerves severed. I had to have surgery to reallign the nerves
A few years ago I pretty much snapped the two bones in my left forearm clean in half. I fell off a bunk-bed and in a wild attempt to grab the bars my arm went through them and it broke.
I r gud at bunk-beds
Another time, well this wasn't really an operation but oh we'll. Anyway I was very young and my school had METAL benches instead of wooden ones. Anyway some jerk pushed me over and I hit my head on one of said benches. Had to get it glued back together with magical surgery glue.

I've never had an operation but I know my day for one is coming. I can sense it!
Lets bring out a list!
* Tonsils Removed
* Teeth Removed
* Snapped Wrist Bone, had to get it fixed
* Had to be surgically born

I've had wisdom teeth removed also, adenoids removed and broke my ankle and needed a pin. We are somewhat similar. Yay! Operation buddy. Heheh
Tech Guy123i almost died when I was born I don't want to talk about it
Then why'd you stick it here for the world to see
Tonsils and Adenoids removed. I was in a lot of pain when I woke up and the doctor said I was fine... I wasn't.

To the OP, I've never had any surgeries. I'm pretty lucky, but my head got permanently dented when I fell on a Lego… xD

I've had no operations but i've had a few heart scans. (Echo scans i think there called?)
I don't remember, it was only a year ago! x3

Interesting! In my life time I have had MRI and CAT scans. Every month I need an MRI due to the cancerous tumour in my brain, and it's incredibly loud, boring and terrible. Over the years of my fear of doctors and bad experiences I have come to have a phobia of needles. I am so terrible, at the age I am today I still have a 'plan' of such that I give to the recpetion for my MRI so they do everything perfect. It starts with them giving me a blanket and it goes to the point where I'm giving specifics such as count down from 3 before you give it to me. Thanks for replying!
After my third seizure I had to have a surgery (not 100% what for). Worst. thing. ever.
Extremely traumatizing, I feel for you. Operations are terrible. The stories that come with them are interesting too!
