actually people have started making viruses for macs, macs didnt get viruses cuz nobady knew about macs and just targeted windows cuz they were popular but now its different

Everything in this website is a virus, infact, just by logging into it u get one, i suggest you leave and do a full system scan

It is as safe as any other website.

Malicious things have and will always be uploaded, but then when they are reported they are sorted out pretty fast. Most times its a ban for malicious uploading.

The website itself is safe. I've heard accounts of some of our advertisements containing viruses (cyp needs to fix that nao), so I suggest installing AdBlocker. Additionally, don't click on any suspicious links in the forums. Do that and you should be good to go.

PMC is totally trustworthy. If you do however find a virus, scan it with an anti-virus programme (but DONT use the free scans like in the adverts) AVG or Systemcare will work great. Quarantine what it finds.

Once every so often a virus may be posted, but if you have decent anti-virus, it should pick up on the matter, and then you can report it to us, and we will promptly deal with the matter, but 99.99% of all submissions on this site are safe. The chances of you getting a virus are tiny to non-existent. Also, welcome to the site, if you have any questions, don't be afraid to ask me

There are a few viruses, but they are diminishing greatly. JUST DO NOT DOWNLOAD ANYTHING ALONG THE LINES OF "SPECIAL HD TEXTURE PACK". These are viruses, and are often hosted on adfly so the poster gets easy cash, and you also have to complete a survey that gets them even more cash.
Also, try not to accept "cool" downloads from New Miners. On download their item icons can be irrelevant, an apple, say, or the original windows program icon. THESE ARE ALMOST ALWAYS VIRUSES.
Avoiding these will probably keep you safe.

For the most part yes, its safe, and those who make it unsafe (those who upload viruses) don't stay long, myself and the rest of the moderators work to remove anything of that sort to make it safe. One thing you should be sure to do is have a good antivirus as its always good to have even if on a safe site.

Killer chipmunks have been reported to come through a select few mods... So don't download any mods to save ur life!
