The great cookie dough poll!
ok so, every time i make cookies or a pie or something i notice that i love the taste of the dough more than the taste of the pie when it's actually baked.
so here is my question: do you guys prefer the dough or the finished result
note that i'm talking about cookies and pies, pancake dough is disgusting.
another question: why don't we just stop baking dough and eat it as if we're eating nutella straight from the jar while hiding in the cupboard around 3am and reevaluating our significance in society?
I won't get diabetus for another 10 to 15 years anyway.

It does depend on the pie that we're talking about. I might steal the dough of a chocolate pie, but I probably won't taste-test the dough of a key lime or pumpkin pie. But with cookies, they taste delicious either way, especially my mother's orange dreamsicle cookies or the mocha cappuccino cookies.

I enjoy both personally, but the finished result is typically more fulfilling, as opposed to copping out and just eating it.
Lolapancake dough is disgusting.
First off, its actually batter, and second, its delicious and I love it (in small doses ofc)
cant stand baked cookies, too tame for my savage ways

Yes, there was a moderately recent E.coli outbreak with flour. Some of the wheat was contaminated and milling wasn't enough to get rid of it so it's particularly dangerous to eat that stuff raw. Cooking takes care of the issue, though.
Personally I usually prefer the finished cookie but that might just be because I like to make weird cookies. I like a lot of floral stuff and the dough doesn't taste that amazing. Also I really don't like the idea of getting horribly sick from eating it raw.
