Please help
I can't sign into Minecraft Bedrock.
Merl, the ai support on the Minecraft website, is zero help
ChatGPT is leading me incircles and nothing is working
I know my username and password- it's not that. The account isn't locked. When I click Sign In they give me error code Drowned- Xbox allows me to sign in though. It's just Minecraft. I have all Microsoft Store updates, I filed a ticket and the sent me an auto generated email back- like what?? I filed a ticket because I wanted human help, not a message telling me something completely unhelpful!
This happened after the Microsoft outage- I think somethign they did is causing me to be unable to sign in.
I've tried using the Repair function, signing out and back into Xbox and the Microsoft store- I use Windows 11.
If anyone has any helpful tips I'd appreciate it- until I'm able to sign back in, I have no way of telling my friend what's going on, and why I'm not playing with him. I'm a bit worried he'll think I'm ignoring him- that, and I'd just like to hang out with him. Java edition works fine, so Ihave no idea what the issue is

I believe this is because the update is recognized as a new app, so you have to reinstall, but se sure to save your worlds

That’s okay- there want much on them anyways, and I’d rather Minecraft just work. I wonder if we could file a lawsuit and get money or some thin’..? >:)
this is because of the recent V1.21.120 update, and the game's file location migration to GDK. this happens on all windows devices that have minecraft bedrock; it's terrible.
i have a blog post on it on my account, and there's a good video about it here.

Yeah.. I’ve noticed it happened right after that update, on the day of was when my taskbar Minecraft stopped working, so I think Microsoft broke my game lol

the taskbar will no longer work because that is redirecting to UWP minecraft, which has been deprecated and no longer is supported.
you need to back up all of your information in the com.mojang folder to your new "Minecraft Bedrock" file in %appdata% (same location that the .minecraft folder is stored for java edition).
your account information is stored in the cloud, and it has not been erased.
all of your world data, resource packs and behavior packs are all within the (copy/paste this)
%localappdata%\Packages\Microsoft.MinecraftUWP_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalState\games\com.mojang
folder, and you can copy them over to the new (copy/paste this)
%appdata%\Minecraft Bedrock\users\shared\games\com.mojang
folder, in their respective locations.

as a bedrock player who has played exclusively bedrock for a significant fraction of my life, i can say rest assured that java is currently better than bedrock.
i just hope that mojang at bare minimum ADDRESSES the issue instead of standing around "oh look at bedrock, it's the main version of the game and it's objectively better than java just ignore everything bad about it (the entire game)"

That does seem to be the case- my only thing is my friend, like I told Enny- that, and Bedrock is more familiar, therefore more comfortable. Honestly, I don’t think one’s better than the other aside from control wise- to me they’re fairly equal aside from Java being different- I don’t know hardly any commands there X)

Yeah, maybe time will help- I hope so. I have been playing Java, but my main issue with not having Bedrock so my friend, Sweeks- he doesn’t have Java or any other way that I can contact him that isn’t Bedrock.. so hopefully he’ll understand

There has been something with bedrock. I forgot what it was, but Phoenix SC talked about it. And I did not know that it still happends. It is just a bug. Something happened with one of my friend's too. Or it is a fake launcher. It happens to everybody. Why do people make fake launchers you ask? Well to get MONEY. So. Stay safe! :3
