This is a bit more serious than most of the replies to this, but oh well. Who knows, you may be the help I need.
Ever since my huge mental health crisis in sixth grade (I’m in eighth now), I’ve gone downhill. I can’t tell if I’m post-traumatic stressing or just suppressing rage. That may be beside the point, but I don’t think it is. Anyways, I can’t seem to act like a normal person. I’m incredibly morbid (which I’ve always been) and a total spaz (started in second grade, started getting worse in fifth, snowballed in sixth thorough current). I don’t have many friends as a result of this. I usually only have one or two at a time besides my girlfriend, and right now I only have one who probably got her phone taken away (she hasn’t read my texts sent a week ago). I’m okay with being a social outcast for two reasons.
But it still hurts. I want to act normal, but I can’t because I am naturally an odd fellow. I don’t want to fit in, everyone around me sucks. I don’t even know where I’m going with this anymore.
Anyways, if you see anything in this you have advice for, give it a shot, and if you have none, well, you ain’t got none.

- A part of me knows (or thinks) this is just who I am and I need to find people who love and respect me for it
- Another part of me says that I deserve it.

You sound like me 10-15 years ago.
I'm not the OP but my advice would be:
1) quit all social media - facebook twitter snapchat all that junk, it ain't no good for you.
2) spend time being yourself, not trying to be something you arent.
3) follow YOUR hobbies or dreams and aspirations.
4) do what makes YOU happy.
5) forget what everyone else is doing.
Be yourself do your own thing and stop comparing yourself to everyone else. Nobody is normal, and nobody acts normal. Everyone is unique and amazing in their own way.
If people want to judge or don't "like" you then its their problem not yours, why would you want to be their friends anyway? You will find friends and they will find you, but in all honesty sometimes its better to have a few close friends than to have many "acquaintances"
Since applying these simple rules and now well into my mid thirties I can say I have never felt happier.
Quitting all that social media junk alone made me feel 1000% happier within months.
