Can't Connect to most servers? Help!
Whenever i go into minecraft, there's only one server that actually works: the hive. I try to join servers that are on the top list, and it says when i try to join:
"Internal Exception: java.io.IOExeption: An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host"
Like, i go to comments for top servers, and they are talking about how great it is, and the comments are RECENT.
This happens with every single server (other than the hive)! Anyone have this problem or know how to fix it?
HALP ME PLEASE

Sounds like you're trying to connect to 1.6.4 servers using 1.7.2.
You can either wait for these servers to update to 1.7.2, or you can change to version 1.6.4. To do the latter, click 'New profile' on the launcher, give it a name (e.g. 1.6.4), and select 'release 1.6.4' from the 'Use version' dropdown box, then click 'Save profile'. Select that profile, and click 'Play'.

It's because the government is down
You are 100% right, #BlameTheGovernment.
Erm, I'm not the best at this but maybe make sure you have the right java version and if not reinstall java?
Moved. Please post your threads in the correct section, thanks
First of all, it's wrong on YOUR end, not the server.
I would suggest deleting .minecraft and running Minecraft again. Might patch it.
Also, make sure you're using the version the server is using
