I will start this off by saying that I am a complete newbie to how downloading maps and everything like this works, and how to really work with computers so patience would be much appreciated.
I have been using Minecraft Java Edition and it is all updated, but when trying to download an map, it won't work.
I am trying to download https://www.planetminecraft.com/project/castle-world-an-rpg-adventure-for-custom-npc-mod/#replies . I unzipped all of the files, I changed the RAM argument, but I keep getting the same error, and it crashes the game.
I don't even know if I put in the right thing for the RAM, I just copy and pasted what the creator said in the comments which was " -Xmx8G -XX:+UseConcMarkSweepGC -XX:+CMSIncrementalMode -XX:-UseAdaptiveSizePolicy -Xmn128M[/size] " word for word. Is that my issue? The creator said to use at least 4, whatever that means.
Nothing that I try is working, and Google isn't helping either.
I am so sorry that I am such an idiot when it comes to computers, I really have no idea what I am talking about, but I really want to play this map! <3

If you haven't already got it, download MultiMC from here : https://multimc.org/
Unzip the MultiMC folder to a location of your choice
Now, you can run the MultiMC.exe once to create an 'instances' folder, or you could just create a new folder inside the MultiMC directory and call it 'instances'.
Download this multiMC instance I've made for you, which includes the mods and map you want from here :

Unzip the 'Castle World RPG 1.10.2' folder inside the zip into your \MultiMC\instances folder
Now run the MultiMC.exe file again to open MultiMC and you should see the "Castle World RPG 1.10.2" instance - just double-click on it to play.
The instance I have created is too large to remain in my dropbox for long, so it will be removed in a couple of days. Hopefully that will be enough time for you to download it.
Your op post says you are not very knowledgeable with computers - I hope you know about 'zipped' files and how to use them. This is the quickest way to assist without lengthy texting, so fingers crossed you get it working.

What error are you specifically getting?
I messed around with some stuff, and now I have a bit of a new issue. I have got it set up to where it stopped crashing, but there is no game to play when I go to single-player. It is a singleplayer game, but I don't know how to make it show up in the games.
where did you put the map file and when you go into the folder of the world does it have a data/playerdata folder?
I put the folder .minecraft , and I put it in the saves. It has a data and a player data folder within it
Does the client detect any other saves in that file?
