The Story of Castle World
Long ago in the Land of Salvation a great war raged between 8 kingdoms.
After years of strife, and destruction, the Gods of Salvation cursed the people
with Drought and Famine. Then a great Dragon came from the heavens to
wipe out the warring peoples once and for all.
In their time of greatest need, a lone child made a prayer to the Gods to ask for
forgiveness for their misdeeds to one another.
The Gods felt pity for the meek, and granted the 8 kingdoms one last chance of
survival.
They were to leave their homelands, and the survivors of the 8 kingdoms were tasked
to build a giant city, where they could all live in peace.
Humans, Orcs, Blood Elves, Wood Elves, Under-dwellers, Dwarves, Feline and Canid peoples
all living in the same Kingdom as one people.
They built the Kingdom of Salvation together, and lived in peace for hundreds of years.
Under the watchful eye of the Gods, they appointed Naga Beings to be the guardians
of 4 Elemental Gems that symbolize the pact between the Gods and the Survivors of
the 8 kingdoms.
All seemed well for centuries.
Until one evening, an Evil Sorcerer made contact with a being known as the Wither King,
an ancient Evil Creature from the Nether. With a promise of Great power, the Sorcerer
seeks to steal the Elemental Gems for himself, so he can bring the Wither King out
of the Nether and into the land of Salvation.
Only you can stop him! Take up your sword and put an end to the Sorcerer and
his Minions!

Castle World 2 will be in 1.17+ and Bedrock sometime this year
Side note for anyone having trouble installing this/getting it to work: I tried just wiping my mine-craft folder, then installing the right version of forge, then adding the folders into the miencraft directory. It worked fine for me.
If you would like a more female friendly role, try my Map Three Ring Eden! There is an option to choose your character, and the female amazon warrior has the best storyline of them all. You are the granddaughter of an evil wizard and have to put an end to his reign of terror.
And I appreciate you being so understanding and supportive. I've had people on other sites be rather hateful about this sort of thing.
I look forward to getting to play more of your adventure rpg maps! The scale and detail in them is very impressive. I admit I got a little lost and overwhelmed playing this one, but I want to eventually restart it fresh, now that I know how it's gameplay works more. I think my main problem was that I just kept letting quests pile up and losing track of where I was and where the chracters I needed to talk to are.
I'm not very familiar with the mods used in this map, is there any sort of system in it that would point me in the direction of quest or location objectives, kind of like in Elder Scrolls Oblivion?
The scale can definitely be overwhelming! In terms of pointing you in the right direction of quests, unfortunately there isn't for this particular map. I have the journey map mod active for the map and what some players like to do is press "J" to see the overworld map, and then mark their own locations based on where they know they are, etc.
So the only real way to familiarize yourself is to be a journey map cartographer! :D
There is light on the horizon, and it will require patience. But I am currently making Castle World 1.12.2 which will be out in the next couple months.
For that I have all the textures tied to URL so this problem will never happen again.
