So I have just created a skin for my JAVA account, and when I published it, it published as a bedrock skin. Does anyone know if a bedrock skin will work on JAVA? If not, then how can I change it to JAVA skin?

A bedrock skin is typically 128 x 128 pixels. The java version of Minecraft only accepts up to 64 x 64 pixels.

If you wish a convert done, you could post on this thread : https://www.planetminecraft.com/forums/help/javaedition/how-to-convert-a-minecraft-skin-from-128x128-to-64x64-603479/ which appears to be active with requests for exactly that, or you could reply to this message and I'll try for you.
Please note that you are loosing 50% of pixels so there is going to be some definition loss.
