Cannot Cheat during a minecraft map? Tried Lan world
Hey everyone,
I wasn't quite sure where to post this but I really want to cheat on minecraft adventure maps to use a mod to create a group of friends to adventure with, using custom npc.
I got this huge adventure map, "Across the Time", I tried opening a Lan world and allow cheats, but I still get "punished" and can't go into creative world.
Also, I tried using NPC Explorer to open the level.dat file and changing the value in "allowCommands" from 0 to 1, still not working
If there is a way to edit the map so I can cheat, that would be great thank you!

ok sweet I'll try that thank you so much!
Ah sadly I don't, it's an adventure map I've never tried before
I just want more things to do in Minecraft with custom npc to make the world more interesting

You could always use /setblock [x] [y] [z] and remove them if you know the location.
ah damn, how can I see if they are important command blocks? Sorry I'm not even sure what command blocks are
If the map uses commandblocks to detect cheaters there's not much you can do.
You can try opening the world in MCEdit and removing the commandblocks, but there's always a chance you remove other important commandblocks by accident.

well I tried moving the level.dat file to the desktop then changing it. It's weird, this adventure map has 2, one already has it set to 1, the other at 0 (which I change to 1). I saved them and then moved them back to %appdata%, but still it detects cheats
Because you need allowcommand=0 and gametype=2, and delete the Player tree so you don't have to update 'allowcommand' column per every entry
export level.dat somewhere else. open nbtexpl, change the allow commands to 1. import the saved level.dat into your original world save and voila!
I've had a similar issue trying to force my map into adventure mode, but couldn't get it from root folder. So the above was what helped me.
