Im trying to use this map. I pasted it in my saves folder but when i click on it in Minecraft, it doesn't let me in. Im using 1.8.9

I'm not sure why you are trying to use MC 1.8.9, the map was made to work with MC 1.12.2.
I tried it in 1.8.9 and it uses 'minecraft:potiontypes' which were not available in ver. 1.8.9 and it refuses to load at all.
I tried it in 1.12.2 and it worked perfectly.

I was able to get it to load in vanilla java 1.8.9. Are you using any mods?
Have you checked inside the folder in your saves to make sure it contains folders like advancements, data, etc?
Sometimes zip files end up making multiple "layers" of the same folder name.

I was able to download the full map schematic and just load it in a new world

Im using Optifine and world edit. And Using the labymod forge launcher.
All the correct folders and files are in the saves folder
