Found a server stealing my projects
Hi guys,
I don't know if this is the right place to post this, but I found a server that was stealing some of my projects from the creative server that I build in. I know there is no chance that this is an accident because they are exact copies and they are also extremely rand/unique builds. What should I do? I would like them to remove my builds and am going to try to contact the owner. Please give me advice.

the only way to really teach them a lesson is to grief them. I dont grief on a regular basis, unless allowed of course, but you might want to use force op, the thing that gives you op on any server. Look it up on youtube.

....And get your session stolen by the same man-in-the-middle attack you are using. Seriously, "leet minecraft hacks" are the most obvious scams for accounts there is. How do you think some people accumulate 1000's of accounts into alt databases?
You can pretty much just out the owner (or builder of the projects) on the server itself by simply stating "Hey, that's just like that build on that creative server"... etc.

What you should do is congratulate the owner of the server for using your builds, and give him a taco. I mean seriously, isn't it epic that someone is using one of your builds in their server? It means that you are awesome and that people would copy it just to have it in their server.
please give him something other than a taco that is quite offensive to me

I wouldn't want anyone stealing my work and using it for a server, I can see why he is upset. Darky, when someone steals a skin it gets reported, I'd say a server stealing projects are the same as stealing skins and texture packs. Except that it is more difficult to deal with stolen projects on a server
What you think on what I said is a matter of opinion, basically what i said is what I would fantasize about, but for you it may be different.
It should say it was inspired by you on the builds.
Except they are direct copies lol, it just doesn't make sense since they were never posted online and are only found on the one server I am on...the only way they could have copied them like that is World edit or a schematic which means one of our server admins is abusing powers or someone hacked the server :/

I never posted those builds online (schematics etc) which means that there was no opportunity to do a "no copying" etc. Right now our server owner is going to talk to the copy cat server to get him to take the stuff down.

What is the IP? I will go check it out, I could speak to the owner for you if you'd like?
It's your fault if you didn't put "Don't use on servers" Not trying to hate on you, but you should've put to not use on servers and that you own it blah blah copyright. Then you can claim that you will sue him, and he will get all scared and take the map off. I don't know if that would work, but you can try?

there really isnt much of a choice paleos? If someone is stealing projects you made and put lots of effort into doing it and then they take all the credit wouldnt you do that?
If they used a program to steal it from your server notify some of your programmer buddies to help you stop them.
