Yo yo yo! Drakeh here! So anyways, I got a new Macbook Air and there seems to be an issue with Minecraft. So I get this black bar if my move my arm around, and it really annoys me. It sometimes appears on the environment as well.
Looks EXACTLY like this:
Here are my specs:
Processor: 1.3 GHz Intel Core i5
Memory: 4 GB 1600 MHz DDR3
Graphics: Intel HD Graphics 5000 1024 MB
I don't want any posts saying my specs suck okay, I don't have a glorious CPU.
Thanks guys!

Whenever I turn down my smooth lighting, it does this, maybe look and see if it is turned down?

Go mess around (not mess, but tinker, but you get the idea.) with the Graphics Properties settings. Set the smoothing thingy to the lowest. I don't have a Mac, but my PC with nvidia has those problems too.

There are a couple things you may want to try to fix this issues.
Backup and reinstall the .minecraft folder
Reinstall Java
Reinstall GFX drivers
It could be any of the 3.

Is re-installing GFX even possible on a Macbook?

Hmm. I'd say it's probably a render glitch. It might be a problem with your new computer graphics processing. But I really couldn't say anything else. Possibly try installing optifine and messing with some features. Either way it doesn't seem too big of a deal. I once had an arm that was transparent.

It could possibly be a problem with Java. It works fine on my desktop computer, but my laptop sucks. Other people seem to have this problem.
