HELP ME!! PLEASE READ:
I just bought a new computer and when i start the RUN.bat with java -Xmx2048m -jar craftbukkit.jar -o true
PAUSE this come up:

AMD Radeon HD 8470 2GB
2TB Hard Drive
AMD a10 5700 quad-core proceccsor
(I have not buildt the computer, it is no problems with it)

Your computer might not have enough space. 64 bit makes it possible. Thats why u can still run it with 1024, but not with 2000

If your operating system is 64bit and it still says this then get java for 64bit operating system instead of 32bit (lot of manufacturers place 32bit java for 64bit system so its probably the problem if it wasnt sorry idk)

Ah, yea, I ran into this problem once. What OS are you using? From how the directories are listed I'm assuming you use Windows; is it x64? If not, your 16GB RAM is literally reduced in usability to 2GB, and seeing the error this might be the problem.
If, however, all of my words are complete rubbish and utter nonsense to you right now, and you know for a fact that all these are true, try inputting -XX:MaxHeapSize=256m into your run.bat. This can and will put enormous amounts of strain on your computer though, so think this through. Then again you have 16GB worth of RAM, so...

I can run it with java -Xmx1024m -jar craftbukkit.jar -o true but not Xmx2048m
