Right guys, so I have had Minecraft Java Edition since 2013, but for the past 6 months or so when I press the ‘play’ button on the launcher it says it’s loading the game. But once the green bar reaches the end nothing happens apart from the ‘play’ button giving me the option to press it again. And when I press the ‘play’ button again it says it’s already playing the game. Can any of you please help me?

How old is your PC? Performance requirements are constantly changing.
delete and reinstall the launcher, that'll work
Can you give us your output log if it starts when it loads the green bar?
Are you in an area with good internet?
