Hey there! Please help me out!

I have some issues trying to install optifine. I have installed it dozens of times before (on a previous computer) and this is the first time I'm having trouble trying to install it. Basically, when I try opening optifine, a screen pops up telling me it is an archive from the internet and it isn't safe. So then I go to security and privacy and force the opening. Nothing new. Until... this time, when I forced the opening, a second window pops up. This time it's an error message, saying that the installation was unsuccessful and that I should go to www.java.com to find more info (info that I haven't found btw). Does anyone know how I can solve this?

PD: If this is useful information, I downloaded optifine 1.18.1 from the official web on my mcbook air, then put it in a usb stick, since I don't play on the mcbook air, and I put it in my brand new (I literally have it since 2 days) iMac 24" 2021.

I successfully installed it on a Macbook air a while back.

Make sure you have all the necessary stuff installed, Java and so on..
Make sure you've run the game on the correct version beforehand.
Make sure the file is from the official optifine website and is in the correct format.

Other than that, it should work fine

I'm guessing it might be a Mac thing, but I've never really tried to play Minecraft on a Mac so I'm afraid I can't really help you with this. Hopefully you can figure out what's causing the issue soon (outside of the OS itself)!
