How to get back normal Chest texture ?
Hey guys. I started playing minecraft and noticed that chests got new texture. They look like presents now -_-. How to get back old ones ? This happens even in custom texture pack...

I think you could just change the date on your computer for the time being.

o for god sakes i saw the post about a hour ago and it bugged me so
CHANGE YOUR COMPUTER DATE TO AFTER CHRISMAS
then minecraft will check your pc date and if its after chrismas boom chests will fix

I guess Mojang did not really think about that one. Not every Minecrafter celebrates Christmas. I don't mind it though.

I don't celebrate christmas either. I'm full-on atheist. Celebrating christmas is fine, and I personally don't mind it. However, what I don't like is how everyone is like "Christmas Christmas Christmas" and they don't think about the people who don't really celebrate it. I don't really mind too much though.
It's hard-coded into the game.I don't think you can change it without mods.

the only thing i hste sbout it is servers that you cant lock your chest then you hide them underwater and then it turns red then people come and steal from it
I don't see what's annoying about it. If you really want to get rid of it you can edit the textures yourself.

Well, Mojang did that because it's Christmas, so it'll go away if christmas is over.
You could go probably play offline if you really hate the textures, otherwise just wait for Christmas to end =p
