How to edit cape?
I already have one cape, but is there a way to customize it? I wanna make bird wings since I noticed the cape affects how elytra looks so they'd be foldable as well.

There is no way to costomize the cape
There is no way to have custom capes without mods, but if you just want a custom elytra you can do that with resource packs.
I kinda wanted to do both to make foldable wings but thanks anyway
what cape? optifine?
when its optifine than:
- Download and install latest OptiFine
- Start Minecraft with OptiFine
- Go to Settings -> Skin Customization -> OptiFine Cape -> Open Cape Editor
I might try that sometime I haven't used optifine before so I'd have to learn how

i mean you could use the minecraftcapes mod and input your own cape and edit it
Not officially. Capes are only given out on special events with no way to change it in vanilla.

no capes are supposed to be earned in special events or you can buy your clients cape lunar,badlion,optifine etc
