I'm unable to play multiplayer
I run into an error message that says I was unable to reach the authentication servers whenever I try to join a multiplayer server like hypixel. The issue is fixed when I don't have to authenticate. I tested this with my cousin's minecraft server. I am also never able to access the skin server from the launcher, meaning I always play with the default skin. I would appreciate a solution that doesn't involve me running minecraft as the administrator, because that would mean I'd have to get my dad to use biometrics every time I wanted to play minecraft (not optimal). This seems like your internet, go to a cousin's house with internet and try playing there

Try using the account in your brother's computer, If the issue resolves, there may be a fault in your computer

Maybe it’s the server. Honestly I’ve never heard of this so I don’t have great advice, but maybe try and contact the server (if you can) and tell them
It's not the server. My brother is able to join all the servers I have tried without issue, ruling out both a problem with the wifi network and server issues. It most likely has something to do with the way my firewall is routed

the computer my brother uses is even older than mine, so I'm not sure if that logic applies?

Did you buy the game or did you got a free account like TLauncher?
If you're unable to reach the auth servers that means theres no/limited connection to it. auth servers to cracked clients would just say that the client isnt authenticated

Errors with the authentication server usually means that the fault is on Mojang's end. Wait an hr or more before trying to connect again
It's not on Mojang's end. I check regularly and am never able to join servers that require me to authenticate
Have you tried connecting with other premium servers? e.g. mineplex
