so im making a texture pack in which i want lava to be blue but i cant figure out how to change lava droplets.
i am using optifine and the colormap file but im not sure how to recolor it form orange to blue if you know anything about this please help!

Not sure if this is the way on java but there may be a particle texture file? On bedrock there's one image that has all the partials on it that can be retextured.
on java there is 3 files and they are all grayed out because of how java deals with (some) particles. in this case the drops are used for crying obsidian, water, and lava(maybe more) so they just use a grayed out texture so they can recolor it instead of having 3 different colors of the same texture so it colors them purple blue or orange respectively. so i cant change the color of the file sadly(i wish it was that easy)
