Should only need to push force update, this will tell the minecraft launcher to make a new JAR file to the most recent game update.

3 WAYS

1. Go to recycle bin, drag it back in

2.You can go to the folder that contains your .minecraft. Then you right-click it (the whole .minecraft, not a folder OF .minecraft) and select Properties. At the top of the Properties folder, there should be a list of tabs. Click "Previous Versions," and regenerate the one that you had before you deleted it

3.If you dont have anything you want to save, just delete the .minecraft folder, and run Minecraft. It will automaticcly generate a new one.

Or, you could just Click the Force Update button.

I always keep a backup of my .jar because I do a lot of modding. I would recommend doing that because these things do happen. If Force Update doesn't work, as a nuclear option you could go to your .minecraft folder and delete the "bin" folder. Minecraft will then rewrite it next time you log in.
Let me know if this helped!
