My Minecraft Is Stuffed!

I was going to play on a server this afternoon when Minecraft stuffed itself up.

Found cached update
Renaming C:\Documents and Settings\user\Application Data\.minecraft\launcher.pack.lzma.new to C:\Documents and Settings\user\Application Data\.minecraft\launcher.pack.lzma
Unable to rename - could be on another filesystem, trying copy & delete.
Copy & delete succeeded.
Looking for update

So I restarted Minecraft again and again and again. (I also checked my internet) AND IT ISN'T FREAKING WORKING!!!! RAGE!!!

Please help me! The fate of noelscrap depends on this!!!!!
