My Minecraft Java keeps lagging whilst I move my mouse
Hello. I have recently taken a one or two-year break from Minecraft and when I decided to boot up the game. It has dramatically reduced fps (from about 300 to around 20 on my standard settings) and the lag spikes happen whenever I move my mouse to look around. This causes my game to hit 0 fps most of the time. I have not done anything that I remember that I had done to affect my Minecraft. If there is anything anyone can do to help please tell me!

Just checked some other games. Lots of them have the same problem.
Play with optifine on the latest versions as they require more memory. Upgrade your pc's ram to 8gb/+. If it still does not work, go to video settings abd set graphics to fast. Then go to performace settings (under video settings) and set everything there to the fastest available option (you will know it when you hover your mouse over the buttons) I'm sure it will work

what is your graphics on?
it might also be because u have to many resource packs.

I normally have my graphics on fancy, smooth lighting full ect mostly max. I also don't use a texture pack. so it wont be that
are you on a server or not? also are you using vanilla or optifine if you are using mods can you list them below

did you change the mouse or try to make a backup. Rename your .minecraft folder and let the game recreate it from 0. This helped me by some cases like the launcher didn't load or lags
