Everytime i try and join my friend'd server I get this message after like 5 seconds of being in the realm. "Internal Exception: java.io.IOException: An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host". Ive tried to find a fix for this but ive had no luck and its starting to irritate me. Anyone know anything that might help? I just want to be able to play again.

From what I can find, the error is caused when an internet port refuses to open. The fix can be to restart the router, or to switch over to a temporary network / hotspot. If you still get the same error on other networks, then here is a copy from the Mojang bugs forum about this exact issue:

"This is a technical support issue, not a bug. In this case, this is caused by something blocking your connection, which can be either a program on your computer, a bad setting on your network or a problem on the server. This issue is not caused by Minecraft, and then there is nothing Mojang can do for fixing it."

Not sure it will actually work, but maybe it'll work if you turn on a VPN?
Gotta be honest and say I don't know how ports work, so I'm just throwing ideas now :')
