Um, how do I restore texture

I was editing some textures, it was way too late when I realized I edited the original texture folder and I forgot to make a copy. How do I restore it?

If it is the vanilla texture pack then you will have to backup your worlds and reinstall the game. If it is your own texture pack then you better hope you have a backup.

Apparently among the texture packs I downloaded, one of them forgot to delete the unnecessary textures

Well, do you mean like the default vanilla assets, or your own assets?
