I think the 1.7 update will be good, but they do need to try new things so people will keep playing and buying the game..

You want more items, but not more diverse, realistic biome implementation? You must not understand the full scale of what they are doing and how much it was needed, I can also tell you that you have complained about the land formations and how "Boring" it was. I like that there adding new biomes ,but I wish they added new blocks.

Oh good lord, Mojang. I'm impressed with one thing only...the fish. The flowers are okayish but GOOD LORD the biomes! Random floating blocks all of the place and it just looks HORRIBLE!

I've liked all of the new updates. 1.7 is no exception. Everything seems to be purposeful.

Mojang adding all this stuff makes minecraft better and worse in some ways. It makes it better for the people who don't know how to install Mo' creatures they are basically adding some of the animals.
I haven't read through any farther by the first page BUT, even though most people do despise change, adding new biomes is one of the best things mojang COULD do. besides expanding vastly upon creatures and things to do with the ocean and farming.
By adding new biomes, it makes them able to further expand. Meaning they could add new ores, and more new items like people want IN those biomes. People may not like it. But I bet you all sure as hell after it comes out, most of them will like it.

why do you think 1.7 is a joke fishings now about 56% more fun all they need to do is add more fish such as:carp, sharks, jellyfish and lots more this isn't a bad update

I love playing with all the new features and biomes.
Like always, if you don't like the new updates, don't play them. For those people who would argue about having to play them because servers update, you have the option to make your own server using an older Minecraft version. If you aren't willing to do that, then don't complain about the completely free, massive updates Mojang is providing for you.

in the 1.7 updates they realised that servers with "extrabiomes mods" were more popular than others and therefore making they own new equivalent.
the same was with horses, taken from mo creatures etc.
even pistons and redston... were only a mod once...

I think 1.7 is one of the best updates since the redstone update.
I got the snapshot and it has turned minecraft into a beutifull place, it looks like somewear from a fairytale.

The biomes provide new materials, like the new forest which provides new trees, and a new type of dirt [I know - not that exciting but there could be more we don't know yet].

From what ive seen in 1.7 so far I love! Im glad they fixed the biomes and added more! Everything looks much nicer. Also the amplified biomes thing is cool!! Love the fact that theyve added more flowers and fish and stuff.
I'm absolutely SICK of the stupid updates! They've made a great game, but they update far too often. It's getting ridiculous, and I've got to start updating mods now because of the change in the cod.e It's getting really annoying, and I don't see why they can't just update it without having to redesign the code!
I really like Amplified and the new biomes, and trust me, I'm not a big fan of the new updates. ;P
